Essex Police have launched an investigation into a crash on Canvey Island that left a man in his 40s with a serious ankle injury.

The incident occurred in Small Gains Avenue between 12:45 am and 1:15 am on October 6, when the victim exited a taxi and was struck by another vehicle.
