Hoplings Taxis Terms & Conditions

1. Liability
  1. It is advisable to get travel insurance in case of eventualities.
  2. While Hoplings Taxis strives for punctuality, we cannot be held responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control.
  3. If a driver is delayed by traffic or other unforeseen events, Hoplings Taxis will attempt to arrange an alternative vehicle with our partners.
  4. Although Hoplings Taxis does its utmost to ensure drivers arrive on time, we are not liable for delays caused by adverse weather, traffic incidents, acts of God, terrorism, flat tires, or driver illness.
  5. Hoplings Taxis will make every effort to ensure timely arrival but is not liable for delays caused by road or traffic conditions outside our control.
  6. All vehicles used by Hoplings Taxis are insured for passenger and third-party claims; however, customers’ belongings are carried at their own risk.
  7. Clients are responsible for their luggage during loading/unloading. Hoplings Taxis is not liable for any loss/damage to property.
  8. Should a vehicle breakdown occur during your journey, Hoplings Taxis will arrange an alternative vehicle as soon as possible.
  9. If a driver does not arrive at the scheduled collection time, please contact Hoplings Taxis directly. Departing without informing us may forfeit any compensation claims.
  10. Taking a minicab or black cab without our consent will not entitle you to a refund from Hoplings Taxis.
2. Right to Refuse Service
  1. Hoplings Taxis reserves the right to refuse service if any passenger is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  2. Hoplings Taxis may terminate a booking if there is any risk of harm, violence, or abuse towards the driver or vehicle. Passengers will be asked to vacate the vehicle safely.
  3. These terms and conditions may change at any time. Existing bookings will follow the rate applicable at the time of booking.
  4. Completion of the booking form and use of the service confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  5. Hoplings Taxis maintains a non-smoking policy in all vehicles; food, drink, and smoking are prohibited.
  6. Hoplings Taxis reserves the right to cancel services and provide refunds in extreme circumstances such as national emergencies, riots, wars, fuel shortages, severe weather, or terrorist attacks.
3. Booking
  1. A minimum of 12 hours’ notice is requested for online taxi booking. For bookings with less notice, please call Hoplings Taxis to check availability.
  2. Allow sufficient time when booking an airport taxi with Hoplings Taxis to meet airline check-in requirements and allow for traffic delays.
  3. Hoplings Taxis is not responsible for delays if passengers fail to allocate enough time or if they are not ready at the agreed time.
  4. Clients are responsible for choosing an appropriately sized vehicle; Hoplings Taxis may not accommodate excess luggage without prior arrangement.
4. Bookings Outside Operational Area
  1. Hoplings Taxis reserves the right to cancel or adjust bookings from outside the operational area. Full refunds will be provided, and clients will be notified via email, phone, or text if cancellations are necessary.
5. Airport Meet & Greet
  1. Hoplings Taxis tracks incoming flights to ensure timely pickup; optional Meet & Greet service is available for an additional £7.5.
  2. Clients can select the Meet & Greet service for £7.5, covering 30 minutes from the booking time. Additional waiting time is charged at £20/hour in 15-minute intervals.
  3. The parking fee liability lies with the passenger. For your convenience, the driver will pay the parking fee.
  4. At the end of the journey, the passenger must reimburse the driver for the paid parking fee (against the receipt) along with any extra waiting time charges, calculated based on the booking time and the time parking was paid.
  5. Without Meet & Greet, pickups default to the designated airport pickup area, where additional waiting and parking charges may apply beyond the first 30 minutes.
6. Waiting Time
  1. Hoplings Taxis provides a 30-minute grace period for airport pickups. Waiting charges apply at £20/hour after this period.
  2. Additional mileage, wait time, or journey deviations beyond the original booking may incur extra charges.
  3. Hoplings Taxis waits up to 30 minutes before making contact; continued contact attempts are made for 90 minutes before declaring a no-show with no refund.
7. Cancellation
  1. Hoplings Taxis accepts cancellations with full refunds if given 12 hours’ notice. Fees apply for cancellations within 6 hours (25%) or 3 hours (50%).
8. Complaints
  1. Complaints are thoroughly investigated. Please email Hoplings Taxis with your booking reference and relevant details.
9. Sub-Contractors
  1. Hoplings Taxis may use partner companies to complete journeys. Receipts can be provided upon request, though emailed receipts may take up to two working days if requested on the day of travel.
