Glasgow Man Denied Private Hire Licence Over Drink-Driving History
A Glasgow man, Marcin Myslicki, has been denied a private hire car licence following a series of drink-driving offences and other serious criminal convictions. The city's licensing committee rejected his application after Police Scotland presented evidence of his past record.
Myslicki’s driving history includes a 15-month ban for drink-driving in 2013 and a three-year ban in 2018 for failing to provide a breath sample. He also faced charges of driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Myslicki’s defence stated:
"These incidents are in the past, and I’ve changed since then."
Police Scotland objected, stating:
"He is unfit to hold a private hire licence due to his criminal history."
Considering the seriousness of his offences, the licensing committee rejected Myslicki's private hire licence application.
