Cleveland Police arrested two men in Middlesbrough after stopping a taxi on March 18. Officers acted on suspicious activity, leading to the detention of an 18-year-old and a 32-year-old on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs. Similar incidents have occurred elsewhere, including a case where police busted a £100K drug deal in a Glasgow taxi.
A police spokesperson stated:
"Officers acted on suspicious activity."
Both individuals were later released on bail while investigations continue.
