Club Cars and Passenger Cars join Veezu, boosting private hire services and supporting Manchester’s goals for a cleaner, greener transport network.

Two Greater Manchester Taxi Firms Rebrand Under Veezu Name
Two well-established Greater Manchester private hire operators, Club Cars and Passenger Cars, have officially rebranded under the Veezu name following their recent acquisitions by the Cardiff-based taxi group. Veezu, recognized as the UK’s fastest-growing and largest private hire business, completed the purchase of Club Cars in November 2024 and Passenger Cars in January 2025. The rebranding marks a significant expansion of Veezu’s footprint in the North West, where the company already operates services in Wigan and Bolton.
The integration of the two firms has strengthened Veezu’s regional presence, creating a fleet of nearly 500 vehicles across Greater Manchester. This development positions Veezu among the largest private hire fleets in the area. In addition to fleet expansion, Veezu plans to introduce zero-emission capable vehicles to support the Mayor of Greater Manchester’s Clean Air Plan, aimed at improving the region’s air quality.
Club Cars and Passenger Cars, originally founded in 1992 and 1998 respectively, have reportedly experienced robust growth after joining Veezu. According to company reports, the brands now achieve one booking every 86 seconds, highlighting a notable increase in operational efficiency and customer demand. Enhanced technology offerings, including real-time tracking, app-based booking systems, and flexible payment options, have been implemented as part of the integration process. The firms also serve approximately 600 corporate clients, including essential services such as the North West Ambulance Service.
Nathan Bowles, Veezu CEO, stated:
"Manchester’s Club Cars and Passenger Cars have built strong, trusted reputations by delivering exceptional local service."
He further added:
"As we bring both brands together under the Veezu name, we’re not only introducing improved technology and a greener fleet, we’re strengthening our role as a key part of Greater Manchester’s transport network and are proud to support the region’s ambition for a more connected future."
Bowles emphasized Veezu’s commitment to environmental initiatives, noting Manchester's leadership in transport electrification. He stated:
"By continuing to invest in a greener fleet, we’re not only supporting the city’s bold sustainability goals, but also helping to improve air quality for everyone who lives and works here."
Veezu’s operations extend across more than 50 towns and cities nationwide, partnering with over 16,000 self-employed driver-partners. The company completes millions of bookings annually, offering both on-demand and pre-booked services.
