Lincoln has introduced its latest innovation, the L100 Concept Car, a self-driving, electrified luxury vehicle designed to redefine mobility. Unveiled at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, the L100 serves as a dramatic representation of Lincoln’s future in autonomous driving.

This concept car is inspired by the 1922 Model L, Lincoln’s first luxury vehicle. While the visual connection to its predecessor is minimal, the L100 showcases cutting-edge design and groundbreaking technology aimed at modernizing luxury travel.

The L100 Concept boasts a sleek fastback design that emphasizes elegance and innovation. With reverse-hinged doors and a minimalist aesthetic, the car is designed to make a bold first impression.

Inside, the L100 offers a fully autonomous driving experience. It lacks traditional controls such as a steering wheel or dashboard, reflecting Lincoln’s vision of future mobility. Instead, it features software-driven innovations to ensure an intelligent and connected driving experience.

The interior is transformable, allowing passengers to adjust seating arrangements for different purposes. The front row seats can be rotated to create a social environment where occupants face each other.

Innovative Technology

The L100 introduces several avant-garde features, including a center console chessboard with a jewel-inspired chess piece controller that replaces the traditional steering wheel. This futuristic design enhances passenger interaction while reinforcing the car’s autonomous nature.

Lighting plays a pivotal role in the L100’s design. An artificial intelligence system combined with GPS sensors detects people approaching the car and activates a light symphony that follows them.
