Bookings Process
How can I pay?
You can either pay by credit/debit card at the end of booking or request a payment link for peace of mind and pay using your preferred mode of payment like Apple Pay, etc. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash at the moment.#
Is my booking confirmed without payment?
Unfortunately, all bookings are confirmed only after payments have been made.
Do you provide a receipt?
Yes, we will email you a receipt with a booking reference and contact number.
Is the payment secure?
Yes, your payment is 100% safe. We do not store your card details on our system.
Are there any charges for using different types of cards?
No, we absorb all transaction costs.
Why have I been quoted more than the advertised price on the website?
The fares advertised are our typical fares for standard, estate, light MPV, or large MPV cars, between 07:00 and 23:00. Extra charges apply at night between 23:00 and 07:00 AM or on bank holidays.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, if you require a child seat, please provide details in the child seat request box when making your booking, and we will do our best to meet your requirements.
I have more luggage than the car type I ordered. What happens now?
If your luggage exceeds the recommended capacity for your selected car type, we will not be able to accommodate it due to legal and insurance conditions. In that case, we will send a separate vehicle to accommodate the extra luggage.
How early can we book a taxi transfer with Hoplings?
The earlier, the better! We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance. For last-minute bookings, it's best to call us. If you make an online reservation, there’s no guarantee of a vehicle unless you receive confirmation.
Online booking is showing no availability, what should we do?
If all our cars are booked, you can email us at [email protected] or contact us via WhatsApp or phone, and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Can I make changes to my booking?
Yes, you can make changes by contacting us via email, phone, or WhatsApp. Please notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time.
How can I cancel my booking?
To cancel, contact us with your booking reference. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund.
Are there any cancellation charges?
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup may be subject to a fee.
Can I book a taxi for someone else?
Yes, you can book for someone else by providing their details during booking.
What is the maximum number of passengers you can accommodate?
We have vehicles that can accommodate up to 16 passengers.
How can I get a quote for my journey?

Can I request a specific driver?
While we can’t guarantee a specific driver, you can add a note during booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

How do I know if my booking is confirmed?
You will receive a confirmation email with your booking reference number. If you don’t receive it within a few hours, please contact us.
Can I book a return journey?
Yes, you can book a return journey when making your initial booking. If you’ve already booked a one-way journey, contact us to arrange a return.
Airport Transfers
How do you accommodate flight delays or cancellations?
We track flight statuses on the day of travel. If your flight is delayed or cancelled, we will adjust the pickup time accordingly.
Can you guarantee a driver will be at the airport?
Our drivers make every effort to arrive on time. If delays occur due to traffic or other circumstances, we will notify you and do our best to arrange alternative transport.
Are your prices fixed?
Yes, we operate a fixed-price policy for single bookings. Discounts may apply for return journeys or multiple bookings. Contact us for more information.
What happens if my flight is early or delayed?
We track flight arrivals in real time. Your driver will adjust their arrival time accordingly, so you don’t have to worry about any changes.
Can I make a stop during my airport transfer?
Yes, additional stops can be arranged, but extra charges may apply.
How much time should I allow for airport transfers?
We recommend allowing at least 2 hours for journeys to major airports, depending on traffic. For longer distances, allow more time.
Will the driver help with my luggage?
Yes, our drivers are happy to assist with your luggage.
Are your drivers experienced with airport pickups?
Yes, our drivers are experienced with airport pickups and are familiar with terminal procedures.
Can I book a Hoplings Taxi to pick me up from a hotel near the airport?
Yes, we offer pickups from hotels near all major UK airports. Just provide the hotel address during booking.
Do you provide transfers to seaports?
Yes, we offer transfers to major UK seaports. Contact us for a custom quote.
Meet and Greet Service & Airport Pickups
Do you provide a Meet and Greet service?
Yes, we offer a Meet & Greet service for £15 (for up to 1 hour). The driver will meet you inside the arrivals hall with a sign displaying your name. Extra parking and waiting charges may apply if the wait time exceeds 1 hour.
Can you pickup outside the drop-off area
Unfortunately we can not honor such requests due to legal reasons. Pickup has to go to either designated pickup areas set by the Airport authority or arrival for meet and greet service.
What are the pickup areas at Heathrow Airport T2, T3, T4, and T5?
We will text you on the day with driver and car details. Head to the car park lifts and take the lift to Level indicating Minicab Pickup Area. Ensure your phone is charged and not on silent or airplane mode.
What are the pickup areas at Gatwick North Terminal?
We will text you on the day with driver and car details. Head outside the terminal to meet near the Premier Inn hotel.
What are the pickup areas at Gatwick South Terminal?
We will text you on the day with driver and car details. Head to the short stay car park and meet at the ground level near the lifts.
Are there any waiting charges outside the free waiting time?
We offer 60 minutes of free waiting time. After that, waiting charges of £28 per hour (or part thereof) apply.
What if you cannot locate the passenger after landing?
If the passenger is uncontactable for more than 90 minutes for an airport pick-up, this will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be offered.

What type of cars are available for transfers?
We offer four vehicle types: Standard (Toyota Corolla or equivalent), Estate (Toyota Corolla Estate or equivalent), Small MPV (Toyota Prius Plus or equivalent), and Large MPV (Mercedes-Benz Vito or equivalent).
Are your drivers licensed?
Yes, all Hoplings drivers are licensed by the local licensing authority, as required by UK law.
Are your cars licensed?
Yes, all Hoplings cars are licensed by the local licensing authority, as required by UK law.
Do you provide vehicles with wheelchair access?
We can provide wheelchair-accessible vehicles upon request. Please let us know your requirements in advance when booking.
How do I choose the right vehicle for my luggage?
If you're unsure about your luggage fitting in your chosen vehicle, it's best to book the next size up. For example, if you're booking a saloon, consider booking an estate car.
Can I upgrade to a larger vehicle after booking?
If a larger vehicle is available, we can upgrade your booking. Please contact us as soon as possible to check availability.

Is there a surcharge for late-night bookings?
Yes, a surcharge may apply for journeys between 23:00 and 07:00.
